A New Hack for Amigurumi
Ever made a stuffy with a head that just doesn't want to stay upright?
I put together a quick video showing how I use scrap yarn to make a simple neck support for crocheted stuffies.
No special materials required, and you can customize the size and firmness to fit whatever you're making. Plus, since it's made from yarn, it's machine washable and a nice option for toys that might end up in little hands.

The Oct o'lantern is a crocheted octopus disguised as a jack o'lantern -- because apparently a regular pumpkin wasn't enough for me.
It's a free Halloween crochet pattern that's quick to make and would be great for Halloween decor, trick-or-treat buckets, or adding to your table at a craft market.
And because it's a small project, it's also a nice way to use up some of those bits of orange yarn hiding in your stash.
