Pattern Directions
Note: These directions work with ANY yarn and ANY hook size. Use what you have available!
Start: Put the hair tie on your hook before you tie on your yarn.
Row 1: Slst to the elastic, then make SC stitches until the entire hair tie is covered. Make sure you end on an odd number. Slst to close the round, then ch1
Row 2: SC into the same stitch, then ch3. Skip 1 stitch, and SC into the next. Repeat this CH3, skip 1, SC pattern all the way around the scrunchie. When you get to the last sc stitch, instead of another ch3, work a DC stitch into your first ch3 space as shown. This will start our next row.
Row 3: Ch3, slst into the next ch3 space. Repeat this all the way around the scrunchie. When you’ve gone all the way around, slst to the starting stitch and fasten off. Weave in tail.
