I’ve always had a soft spot for Halloween crochet projects that are a little silly, and this one definitely falls into that category. This crocheted octopus has all the familiar features of a classic jack o’lantern — orange yarn, a cute little stem, and a spooky carved face — but with eight squishy vines instead of the usual octopus tentacles!

This is a great opportunity to use up some of those smaller amounts of yarn that have been hanging around in your stash.
